Combined PS3 and Xbox 360 Controller Mod: would you buy it?

When it comes to mod’s, Ben Heck certainly knows what he is doing and he has worked his magic on a combined Sony PS3 and Xbox 360 controller.

This super controller takes the best from both console controller’s and makes the ultimate one, but is it any good.

Both controllers have their good and bad points, as they work best with certain games.

When it comes to driving and first person shooter games, then the Xbox 360 controller is the perfect choice.

If you were to play a fighting game, then the Sony PS3 controller is ideal.

Knowing this, Ben wanted to take what is good from both controllers and add them together to give us just one controller that does the lot. It is not known what system this mod works on, hopefully it will be the PS3.

I know that the Sony PS3 Dual Shock is much better, but the Xbox 360 controller feels more comfortable to hold.

PS360 Controller (Mod)

Ben Heck is one hell of a modder.

This time around, he took both the Xbox 360 controller and the Dual Shock 3 and combined them to make a super controller.

I personally like both controllers and the way I choose which controller I find best depends on what game I’m playing.

For instance, for a first person shooter, I find where the analogs are better placed on the Xbox 360 controller.

However for a fighting game, the D-pad and feel of the 360 controller is just awful. That is when I choose the Dual Shock.

But, Ben Heck modded a 360 controller and kept the good things about it and replaced the negatives like the d-pad and used the PS3’s instead.

He didn’t specify which system it works for or if it can run both systems. However, we would love this for the Xbox 360.

Let’s face it, overall the PS3 Dual Shock is better and manly because of the d-pad.

The controller will work well for any game that comes out for the system.

If you don’t believe me; try playing Mega Man 9 on the 360.
